TULSA, Okla. – South Dakota State women's volleyball earned its fifth sweep of the season as it defeated Oral Roberts in straight sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-21) Friday evening in Tulsa, Okla.

The Jackrabbits, who improved to 6-10 overall and 6-9 in Summit League play, hit .196 in the match compared to Oral Roberts (2-13 overall, 2-11 Summit League) at .109. SDSU also held an advantage in aces (7-6) and blocks (5-4).

Crystal Burk paced the Jackrabbits with her eighth straight double-double with 14 kills and 15 digs.
Anna Nerad recorded a season high seven kills while
Tori Thompson added six kills.
Carly Wedel and
Madison Fay dished 14 and 12 assists, respectively.
Tatum Pickar led the back row with 16 digs, while
Brooke Amann tallied 10 digs.

Oral Roberts took a 3-0 lead in the first set, but an ace by Jefferson and a pair of Golden Eagles errors quickly tied the score at 3-all. A 12-4 Jackrabbit run that included seven unanswered points pushed State ahead to a 15-7 lead. The Golden Eagles wouldn't see a lead for the remainder of the set as a kill by Thompson lifted SDSU to a 25-20 win in the first set.

The second set was a back-and-forth affair until the Golden Eagles held a 19-16 edge. The Jackrabbits went on a 9-1 run the rest of the way as Wedel accounted for two of the final three SDSU points with a kill and an ace en route to a 25-20 second set win.

Oral Roberts jumped out to a 19-17 lead late in the third, but a kill by Burk ignited an 8-2 Jackrabbit run that would result in a 25-21 victory in the third to complete the sweep.
