BEGEMAN SNAPS SHOT RECORD FRIDAY

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Trevor Begeman soared to first on SDSU's all-time charts with his throw of 61-09.00 at Friday's Sioux City Relays held at Elwood Olsen Stadium. Begeman cracked Mason Leiseth's top mark of 58-00.25 from 2018 and improved on his own previous best 57-5.75. Behind Begeman, Tyson Jenkins threw for 57-06.25 to finish in second place.
In the women's throwing events, Micayla Ter Wee threw a 177-06 PR to take fifth in the hammer throw. She continues to hold down the ninth-best mark at SDSU, while Faith Leiseth won shot put with a 47-10.00 and Madi Moorhouse recorded a 44-09.50 for fifth. Noah Huber took third in discus with a hurl of 164-00.00
On the track, Riley Bauer took home fifth with a 1:53.76 clocking in the 800. In the men's 10,000, Alex Auch took first with a 30:47.42, Joseph Minor-Williams took second in a time of 30:47.71 and Mason McDonald followed for third with a 30:59.41. Josephine Moor ran a 37:37.57 for fourth in the women's race, while Bridget Henne finished sixth with a 38:18.09. Malorie Schmoll finished second in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 11:23.61 and Carter Knaus won the men's race with a 11:23.61 while Josh Becker followed in third with a 9:38.42 clocking,
