South Dakota State volleyball will play three matches in five days this week, taking on North Dakota State Tuesday in Fargo before returning home for St. Thomas and Western Illinois Thursday and Saturday at Frost.
The Jackrabbits are 10-13 overall and 4-7 in the Summit League entering the week. The Bison sit second in the conference standings at 10-2 with a 17-7 overall mark. St. Thomas is 3-22 on the season (1-12 Summit) and Western Illinois is 4-21 (0-13 Summit).
KEY STORYLINES
- South Dakota State volleyball enters week 11 with a 10-13 overall record and 4-7 mark in the Summit League. The Jackrabbits are looking to get back in the win column following five straight losses.
- The Jackrabbits sit sixth in the Summit League standings as of Monday as they look ahead to the final seven matches of the regular season.
- Crystal Burk became SDSU's all-time attacks leader at USD last week. She enters the week with 4,464 career attacks, which ranks 7th in Summit League history.
- Raegen Reilly has 912 assists this season, which is 3rd in a single season in the 25-point rally scoring era at SDSU. The number is 26th in the nation this season.
- Crystal Burk ranks 9th in the nation in total kills (403), total points (450.5) and total attacks (1,108).
- Crystal Burk plays all six rotations for the Jacks and averages 4.29 kills and 3.27 digs per set this year, which rank first and second on the team, respectively.
- Raegen Reilly dishes 9.82 assists per set in Summit matches, ranking third in the league.
- Libero Jadyn Makovicka notches 3.48 digs per set overall and 4.09 in Summit games.
- Elyse Winter (23), Crystal Burk (23) and Raegen Reilly (22) lead the Jackrabbits in total service aces. SDSU has 139 aces as a team this season.
- Sydney Andrews averages a team-best 1.01 blocks per set.
- Ella Thompson is second on the team in kills per set with 2.29 kills per set.
- Crystal Burk is one of only six Jackrabbits in program history to record more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career.
