SIOUX FALLS — South Dakota State swept the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Divers of the Week awards as Spencer Fritze and Aleni Stoakes were honored Tuesday, league officials announced.
Fritze continued his winning ways by sweeping the diving events in a home dual meet against Omaha. The Park Rapids, Minnesota, native scored a season-best 287.10 on the 1-meter dive and claimed the 3-meter competition with a score of 291.00.
He earned the weekly award for the third consecutive week and fourth time this season;
Stoakes was victorious in both diving events against the Mavericks and scored a season-best 224.85 in the 1-meter dive. The Lincoln, Nebraska, native added a winning score of 220.35 on the 3-meter dive.
The Jackrabbits return to action at the Augustana Invitational, which runs Thursday through Saturday in Sioux Falls.
