South Dakota State's Ella Thompson was named the TicketSmarter Defensive Peak Performer of the Week by the Summit League Tuesday.
Thompson notched 14 blocks in a pair of wins last week, including a career-best 11 against Kansas City Saturday. Saturday's victory clinched a spot for SDSU in the Summit League postseason for the second straight season.
Thompson averaged 1.75 blocks per set this week and tallied 10 digs as a middle blocker.
This is the first peak performer honor of Thompson's career.
