South Dakota State returns to Brookings this week to host North Dakota and North Dakota State in the final two matches of the regular season.
The Jackrabbits have already clinched a spot in the postseason tournament for the season straight season but will play to determine seed this week. SDSU enters the weekend on a five-match win streak with its most recent victory coming over Kansas City in five sets. Crystal Burk led the Jackrabbits with 39 kills, including a match high 21 kills against the Roos.
North Dakota is tied for fifth in the Summit League standings with SDSU. The Hawks dropped a pair of matches to Denver and Omaha. North Dakota State is currently third in the standings but could earn a bye in the postseason semifinal round with two wins this week. The Bison went 1-1 last week with a win over Omaha and loss to Denver.
KEY STORYLINES
- South Dakota State has clinched a spot in the Summit League postseason and is currently tied for fifth in the standings with North Dakota.
- The Jackrabbits will honor five seniors Saturday afternoon in their final match at Frost: Jadyn Makovicka, Crystal Burk, Anna Nerad, Carly Wedel and Sydney Andrews.

- As of Wednesday, Crystal Burk ranks fourth in the country in total kills (497) and sixth in total attacks (1,357) and total points (553). Her 4.44 kills per set ranks 13th nationally.
- Burk has 497 total kills this season. She need eight kills to become SDSU's single-season kills leader.
- Ella Thompson, the reigning Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week, recorded 14 total blocks last week. She set a new career-best with 11 blocks in the Jacks' five-set win over Kansas City.
- Raegen Reily has dished 1,103 total assists this season, which ranks 21st in the country. That mark is third in a single season in program history in the 25-point rally scoring era.
- Raegen Reilly dishes 10.05 assists per set in Summit matches, which ranks third in the league.
- Libero Jadyn Makovicka notches 4.24 digs per set in conference contests, which ranks fifth.
- Crystal Burk (28), Elyse Winter (27) and Raegen Reilly (26) lead the Jackrabbits in total service aces. SDSU has 168 aces as a team this season, eight shy of the program's single-season record.
