SIOUX FALLS — Fourteen South Dakota State University student-athletes — nine men and five women — earned all-Summit League honors during competition at the recently completed 2022 Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships
All-Summit League teams recognize the top three times in each event and the top three diving scores at the league championships, which were held Feb. 16-19 at the Hulbert Aquatic Center in West Fargo, North Dakota.
The Jackrabbit men's honorees were:
- Eric Anderson – 800 Freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay
- Spencer Fritze – 3-Meter Diving
- Alex Kraft – 800 Freestyle Relay
- Sam Johnson – 800 Freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle
- Rafael Negri – 200 Freestyle Relay
- Charles Sieglaff – 200 Freestyle Relay
- Austin Smith – 800 Freestyle Relay, 100 Individual Medley
- Damon Venner – 200 Butterfly
- Justin Wallar – 200 Freestyle Relay
Kraft, Sieglaff and Wallar were repeat honorees, as were all five of SDSU's honorees in the women's division. Those honorees included:
- Emma Bachelder – 200 Freestyle Relay
- Sianne Downes – 100 Backstroke, 200 Backstroke
- Katie Drezen – 200 Freestyle Relay
- Elisabeth Timmer – 50 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay
- Grace Witherspoon – 200 Freestyle Relay
SDSU placed third among six teams in the men's division and fourth on the women's side.
