The South Dakota State women's golf program has announced the addition of McKenzie Mages to the squad for the upcoming 2022 season.
Mages joins the team as a true freshman from Sioux Falls. She is a graduate of Club Med Academies in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she was the class valedictorian and a four-year honor roll member.
Mages competes as a member of the American Junior Golf Association. She finished in the top-five in five of her six AJGA events from 2021-22, including taking first at the Billy Horschel Jr. Championship in 2021. Mages was named the team's MVP in 2022 and 2020.
Mages set her career low in 2020 with a 68 (-5) round.
Mages is the daughter of Andrea and Tim Mages. She plans to major in communication studies.
