ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - Led by an under-par round from
McKenzie Mages, the South Dakota State women's golf team is in only one shot out of first place after two rounds of the Tommie Invitational.
Mages, a sophomore, fired a 71 (-1) during Wednesday's round and is tied for second place with 18 holes left to play. She rolled in four birdies on the day, including three consecutive on holes six through eight.
SDSU's 604 (+28) is only one stroke behind St. Thomas (603, +27).
Piper Stubbs is one shot behind Mages in fourth place.
Alex Kandolin is tied for fifth (153, +9) while
Shakira-Ann Kuys and
Reese Jansa are tied for seventh place (156, +12).
Tatum Depuydt is in 10th place (158, +14).
Molly O'Hara is competing as an individual. She is in 14th place with a 162 (+18).
Kathryn VanArragon of St. Thomas leads the field with a 143 (-1) scorecard.
