SDSU AGAIN LEADS COMMISSIONER’S LIST HONORS

SIOUX FALLS — South Dakota State University student-athletes combined to earn a league-best 132 selections to the 2022-23 Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, which was announced Wednesday. A total of 120 Jackrabbits were honored, with 12 being recognized as members of both the cross country and track and field squads.
Those selected to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence must carry at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, used a year of eligibility during the 2022-23 athletics season and completed either three full semesters or five quarters at the nominating institution. Among the 10 Summit League members during the previous academic year, 994 student-athletes across 17 sports were honored.
In addition, the Jackrabbit women's golf and softball teams received Team Academic Achievement Awards for leading their respective sports with the highest percentage of list-eligible student-athletes on the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.
Denver claimed the Institutional Academic Achievement Award with four of the Pioneers' programs earning Team Academic Achievement Awards.
