JACKRABBITS FINISH STRONG IN ILLINOIS

NORMAL, Ill. - The South Dakota State women's golf team placed third at the Redbird Invitational Monday afternoon. Piper Stubbs tied for ninth in the individual standings, the eighth top-10 finish of her career.Â
The Jackrabbits' 874 (+10) final team score is the second-best 54-hole tally in program history. Following the squad's record-setting 277 (-11) in the tournament's opening round, the Jacks posted 305 (+17) and 292 (+4) scores in rounds two and three.
Stubbs turned in a 75 (+3) scorecard Monday, bringing her three-round total to 218 (+2). The junior recorded 30 par and 12 birdie holes over the course of the tournament.
Shakira-Ann Kuys and Reese Jansa tied for 15th place with 222 (+6) scores. Alex Kandolin was one shot back to tie for 23rd in the standings. Kandolin led the Jackrabbits on the final lap with a 72 (E). McKenzie Mages finished with a 224 (+8) to wind up in a tie for 25th place. She also had an even-par round Monday.Â
Molly O'Hara competed individually for the Jacks. She posted a 229 (+13) in her first collegiate tournament.
Bradley won the team title with an 865 (+1). The Braves' Grace Aromando recorded a blistering 200 (-16) to earn medalist honors.
