South Dakota State and South Dakota meet in the 100th all-time matchup between the teams Saturday afternoon in Vermillion. This is the second meeting of the season in the Interstate Series presented by First Interstate Bank.

The Jackrabbits hold a 64-35 record all-time against the Coyotes and have won six of the last eight meetings. USD's last win in the series was a 56-45 win in the Summit League Championship game in 2022. State has a 57-1 record in the Summit League regular season over the last four seasons with that lone loss coming to the Coyotes in Vermillion February 5, 2022.

South Dakota is 16-7 on the year with a 5-3 Summit League mark. Since falling to the Jackrabbits on January 20, the Coyotes have won three straight games by at least eight points.

South Dakota State is 16-5 on the season and 8-0 in the Summit League. The Jackrabbits have held each all but one of their conference opponents to 58 points or fewer to this point have have an average margin of victory of 20.0 points in Summit League games.

KEY STORYLINES

SDSU carries a 10-game win streak into Saturday's rivalry matchup at South Dakota. The Jackrabbits are 16-5 on the season and wrapped the first half of the conference season unbeaten at 8-0.
The Jacks are 16-5 on the year with four of five losses coming to ranked teams.
Thursday's matchup is the 100th all-time meeting between South Dakota and South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits are 64-35 in the series all-time.
Brooklyn Meyer - the reigning Summit League Peak Performer of the Week - averages 15.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.0 blocks per game and a .518 field goal percentage, all team highs. In overall games, she leads the League in shot rejections and is second in rebounding and field goal shooting.
In conference games, Brooklyn Meyer (15.5 PPG), Madison Mathiowetz (12.1 PPG) and Paige Meyer (11.8 PPG) lead a balanced offense that has seven players averaging at least 7.5 points per contest.
Brooklyn Meyer and Mesa Byom average 6.9 and 6.8 rebounds per conference game, respectively. Those marks rank fourth and fifth in the Summit.
Paige Meyer is second on the team in overall scoring (14.3 PPG) and first in assists (3.7 APG) and steals (1.6 SPG). She dishes 4.4 assists per contest in conference games, which ranks third in the league.
The SDSU defense has held Summit League opponents to only 56.9 points per game, more than nine points fewer than the next team (North Dakota State, 66.0 PPG).
Tori Nelson ranks third all-time at SDSU in career starts (134) and has started every game this year and in each of the previous two seasons. She is also third all-time in blocks (136) and fourth in career games played (145).
Brooklyn Meyer has 42 total blocks this season, which is tied with Kallie Theisen for second in single-season blocks by a sophomore in program history.
Madysen Vlastuin leads the team in minutes played (30.9) and contributes 7.2 points on average. 43 of her 53 made field goals this year have come from the 3-point line. She averages 2.5 3-pointers in conference games.
South Dakota State is 57-1 in the Summit League regular season over the last four seasons, including 2023-24.
