Four members of the South Dakota State women's basketball team were named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's Basketball team Tuesday: Ellie Colbeck, Madison Mathiowetz, Paige Meyer and Tori Nelson.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. All four Jackrabbits have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Nelson is a two-time Academic All-District honoree while this is the first honor for Colbeck, Mathiowetz and Meyer. Select Academic All-District® honorees, including Meyer, advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16 (women) and April 17 (men).
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
