OMAHA - The South Dakota State women's golf team wrapped the first day of action at Stampede at the Creek in third place Monday. SDSU is led by
Piper Stubbs.
The Jacks are +33 after nearly two complete rounds. SDSU tallied a 301 (+13) team score on the first lap of the day and are +20 on round two with one hole left to play. North Dakota State leads the field at +21, following by St. Thomas in second place at +26.
Stubbs is tied for fifth place to lead SDSU. She fired a 70 (-2) for the first round and a 79 (+7) on round two. Her first round featured four birdie holes and just one hole over par.
McKenzie Mages is one stroke behind Stubbs. The reigning Summit League Peak Performer of the Week turned in a 150 (+6) scorecard following play Monday and is in eighth place.
Shakira-Ann Kuys is in 11th place after tallying consecutive 76 (+4) rounds.
Alex Kandolin is in 29th place 158 (+14), followed by
Reese Jansa in a tie for 35th (160, +16) and
Tatum Depuydt in a tie for 51st (+19).
Molly O'Hara is competing individually and is tied for 61st place (167, +10).
NDSU's Jo Baranczyk leads the individual leaderboard at even par.
UP NEXT
The teams will play the remainder of round two and all of the final round Tuesday.
