VERMILLION, S.D. — The Interstate Series women's soccer match between South Dakota State and South Dakota, presented by First Interstate Bank, at First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex ended in a scoreless draw on Saturday.Â

The Jackrabbits and Coyotes battled through rain and wind for the entirety of the contest.Â

Both teams recorded two shots on goal in the opening half as SDSU's
Mia Bosch and
Lauren Walter each registered one. The Jacks eventually put seven shots on goal to the Coyotes' four after the full 90 minutes. Bosch led SDSU with three shots on goal while
Hailee Christensen followed her with two.Â

South Dakota State thwarted two good chances at the net thanks to the play of goalkeeper
Mallorie Benhart. She eventually finished the match with four saves. Four players on the pitch for the Jackrabbits competed for the full 90 minutes in
Lauren Eckerle,
Renny Buchanan,
Taryn Hettich and
Ellie Gusman.Â

South Dakota State is now 9-2-5 on the season as well as 3-1-2 in Summit League action. South Dakota stands at 6-4-6 overall (2-2-2).
