South Dakota State travels to Denver to face the conference-leading Pioneers on Thursday at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. The Jackrabbits and Pios are slated for an 8 p.m. CT first kick.Â
SDSU responded following a 2-2 draw versus North Dakota last Thursday with a 2-0 victory over North Dakota State Sunday. The Jacks had a 17-3 edge in shots over the Bison, including a 9-1 edge in shots on goal. SDSU goalkeeper

The Jackrabbits take an 11-match unbeaten streak into Thursday's contest. SDSU last played a road match on Sept. 10, a 1-0 win at Drake, which is nearly an entire month ago.
South Dakota State is 8-1-4 overall. The Jacks stand third in the Summit League standings with a 2-0-1 record (7 points). Denver is currently tied atop the conference table with nine points. However, the Pioneers are 3-1 in league play with their lone loss to Oral Roberts last Sunday, as the Golden Eagles sit at 3-0 in Summit League competition.
Denver won its opening three contests in conference action. The Pioneers defeated North Dakota (1-0), NDSU (2-1) and Kansas City (3-0). Denver held an 11-5 advantage in shots in its match versus ORU, but the Golden Eagles capitalized on a 37th minute goal.
SDSU and Denver have had heavily contested meetings of late. The Pioneers beat the Jacks 2-1 in Brookings in the regular season last year. SDSU then returned the favor in the Summit League Tournament semifinals by claiming a 2-1 victory over Denver. SDSU is 2-3-1 versus Denver since the 2021 season.
Freshman
Jenna Maloy was named the Kwik Star Offensive Peak Performer of the Week by The Summit League on Tuesday. The midfielder earned the honor for the second time this season. She registered an assist in the draw on Thursday, then scored both of the Jackrabbit goals in SDSU's 2-0 win Sunday.
The Jackrabbits will celebrate Senior Day this upcoming Sunday. SDSU plans to recognize
