BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's basketball program has announced the addition of two student-athletes to the roster for the 2026-27 season. Trishelle Miller and Audrey Shindelar will join the Jackrabbits following high school graduation next spring.
Trishelle Miller • Guard • 5-8 • Sioux City, Iowa • Bishop Heelan High School
Trishelle Miller is currently a senior at Bishop Heelan High School in Sioux City, Iowa.
Miller is a three-time all-conference honoree, picking up the recognition as a freshman, sophomore and junior. As a junior in 2024-25, Miller averaged 14.1 points, 5.5 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.3 rebounds per game and was an all-MRAC first-team selection. Miller helped the Crusaders qualify for the Iowa high school state tournament.
With her AAU team, Miller won the 2025 Adidas National Championship and the 2024 U.S. Open Championship.
With the Crusaders' track and field team, Miller is a member of the relay squad that owns the Bishop Heelan 4x100 school record. She holds a 4.055 GPA.
Miller is the daughter of Annie and Thomas. Her father played football at the University of Iowa. Miller plans to major in human biology.
Audrey Shindelar • Guard • 5-10 • Stewartville, Minn. • Stewartville High School
Audrey Shindelar is set to join the Jackrabbits upon the completion of her high school career at Stewartville High School in Stewartville, Minnesota.
Shindelar has been named all-conference three times in her career and is a two-time all-state selection. As a junior in 2024-25, Shindelar averaged 22.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 2.3 assists per game and was named the Hiawatha Valley League Player of the Year. With Shindelar on the team, Stewartville has made three straight Minnesota high school state tournament appearances with a runner-up finish coming in 2023.
Shindelar is also a member of the Tigers' track and field team. She was a state qualifier in the high jump and 4x400 relay. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and holds a 4.0 GPA.
Shindelar is the daughter of Jessica and Marty. Her mother played basketball at Northern Colorado and her father played basketball at NIACC. Shindelar is undecided on a major.
