Brooklyn Meyer earned the Summit League Women's Basketball Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week award, League officials announced Tuesday. Meyer garnered her eighth career weekly honor and second consecutive this season after helping the Jackrabbits to a 4-0 start.
In a 91-60 home win over Murray State, Meyer scored 24 points on an impressive 79 percent shooting (11-of-14). She also contributed seven rebounds, four assists, and five blocks, marking her second game with five swats this season.
The Larchwood, Iowa, native followed that effort with a double-double, posting 25 points and 11 rebounds while adding five assists and a block in SDSU's 95-71 win over Big Sky opponent Montana on a neutral court in Rapid City, S.D.
Meyer helped the Jackrabbits to a 4-0 start for the first time since 2016-17 and has scored at least 22 points in each game this season.
Through two weeks of play, her 26.0 ppg and 3.8 bpg averages lead the Summit League and rank fifth and tied for second nationally, respectively.
