WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The South Dakota State men's golf team finished in 16th place out of 18 teams at the Boilermaker Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course.
The Jacks finished 24-over par with an 876 stroke total. Marquette won the team trophy (836, -16).
Tyler Seeling finished in a tie for 37th place to lead the SDSU squad. He finished his weekend with a 72 (+1) final round and posted a 215 (+2) over three days.
Ty Kretz and
Drew Teeter finished in a tie for 57th place with matching 220 (+7) scorecards. Teeter's 12 birdies for the tournament were a team high.
Bryson Mercier tied for 70th place (223, +10) and
Jake Olson tied for 85th place (228, +15).
Michigan's Hunter Thompson went 10-under par to win the individual title.
SDSU's
Jack Randall and
Blake Schaper completed the Boilermaker Individual Tournament at Kampen Golf Course. Randall finished in a tie for 18th place (229, +13). Schaper tied for 22nd place (230, +13).
