The South Dakota State equestrian team will host five head-to-head competitions during the upcoming 2025-26 season.
SDSU, which finished the 2024-25 campaign with a 4-9 overall record, kicks off the slate with the Yellow and Blue Scrimmage. The intrasquad event is slated for Sept. 20 at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.
The 2025-26 season officially begins the first weekend of October with home competitions against a pair of ECAC opponents. The Jackrabbits welcome UT Martin to Brookings on Oct. 3, followed by an Oct. 4 meeting with Minnesota Crookston.
From there, the Jackrabbits will be on the road for the remainder of the first half of the season, starting with a trip to California for matchups at Fresno State on Oct. 10 and UC Davis a day later. After a couple weeks off, the Jackrabbits will make the trek to UT Martin for a rematch against the Skyhawks on Oct. 31, followed by a Nov. 1 neutral-site contest against South Carolina.
SDSU closes out the first half Nov. 22 at Minnesota Crookston to close out another ECAC home-and-home series. Starting times will be announced at a later date.
The Jackrabbits begin the spring semester with a three-meet homestand covering the month of February. The opening weekend of the month features head-to-head competitions against TCU on Feb. 6 and Delaware State on Feb. 7. The home finale is slated for Feb. 21 versus UC Davis.
A trip to the Palmetto State March 6-7 concludes the regular season as the Jackrabbits square off against Delaware State for the second time in two weeks, followed by a second matchup of the season against South Carolina. Both of those competitions will be contested in Blythewood, South Carolina.
The five-team ECAC Championship is slated for March 26-28 in Harrington, Delaware.
