LINCOLN, Neb. - The South Dakota State men's golf team is tied for seventh place after 36 holes of the Git-R-Done Invitational hosted by Nebraska.
The Jacks are paced by
Ty Adkins, who is tied for ninth place with a 2-under scorecard through two rounds at Firethorn Golf Club. The junior fired a 69 (-2) for his first lap, then was even par on round two.
Drew Teeter is three shots behind Adkins in a tie for 22nd place at +1. He was 1-over on the first 18 holes, then even on the second 18.
Bryson Mercier is one shot back and tied for 29th, followed by
Jack Randall tied for 47th (+6) and
Tyler Seeling tied for 53rd place (+7).
As a team, SDSU is +5 through two rounds. The Jackrabbits are six shots out of the top five. Nebraska leads the field with a 12-shot lead at -19.
Caleb Kern is playing individually in Lincoln. He is tied for 34th place with a +3 two-round tally.
NOTES
- SDSU was the third-best team on par-3 and par-4 holes. The Jackrabbits averaged 3.20 shots per par-3 hole and 4.00 shots per par-4 hole.
- The Jacks tallied a par score on 120 total holes, the most of all participating teams.
UP NEXT
The final round of the Git-R-Done Invitational will be played Tuesday.
