BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State's
Cody Larson takes his second Cross Country Peak Performer honor as announced by the Summit League on Tuesday afternoon.
This is the second time this season in which Larson has been tabbed as the Kwik Star Summit League Men's Cross Country Peak Performer. The South Dakota native previously received the award after winning the men's four mile race at the Augustana Twilight on Sept. 5th. The Jackrabbits did not race the previous week, meaning Larson takes the honor in back-to-back performances.
Larson posted a strong performance at the Griak, battling Jacob White of Wyoming for the top spot throughout the Merrill Fischbein Men's 8K. The senior crossed the finish line at 24:56.4 to take silver, finishing just over 15 seconds behind White.
Up Next: The Jackrabbits will host the SDSU Classic on the Edgebrook golf course Friday afternoon, Oct. 3.
