BROOKINGS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's basketball team knocked down a program-record 19 3-pointers Saturday afternoon in a 103-76 win over Oral Roberts at First Bank & Trust Arena.
Eight different Jackrabbits connected on at least one triple in the victory, paced by five each for
Emilee Fox and
Katie Vasecka. That duo put up 17 points apiece and combined for 13 assists for the Jacks.
Ellie Colbeck and
Mahli Abdouch also had multiple treys, with three and two, respectively.
Brooklyn Meyer led all players with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting for the game. The senior tied for the game lead with seven boards, notched two blocks and two assists, and drew nine fouls. She was 5-for-7 from the free throw line.
Vasecka and Fox followed with their 17 points apiece. Vasecka set new career highs with five 3-pointers made and seven assists. She also had three rebounds and one block. Fox's scoring output was a career high for the sophomore, while her six assists matches her collegiate best. Fox contributed five rebounds and one steal.
Colbeck came off the bench to go 4-for-4 from the floor for 13 points in 13 minutes.
Maggie Hartwig rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points to go with four rebounds.
South Dakota State wasted no time jumping all over Oral Roberts. The Jackrabbits led 32-12 after the opening 10 minutes behind 58% shooting, six turnovers by the Golden Eagles and 11 points from Vasecka. The Jackrabbits stretched that lead to 27-13 early in the second quarter, but did not make a field goal for the final 8:51. The Golden Eagles cut their deficit to single digits, 43-34, by halftime.
ORU scored the first four points of the second half, making it a five-point game, before the Jackrabbits ripped off a 12-point run to regain control. Meyer, Fox, Vasecka and
Hilary Behrens each accounted for points in that stretch. An and-1 bucket from Meyer at the third quarter buzzer gave the Jackrabbits their largest lead of the game at 26. SDSU led by as many as 32 points in the final period. Oral Roberts ended the game with nine of the final 13 points.
In total, 11 Jackrabbits got into the scoring column Saturday.
Hadley Thul put together a solid night as the freshman finished with nine points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal. Abdouch tallied eight points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
SDSU recorded 28 assists as a team. That mark is a season high and the most in a game for SDSU since tallying 28 at Omaha in February of 2025. Vasecka and Fox led the way, then

Despite going only 2-of-16 from the field in the second quarter, SDSU finished the game shooting 49% (34-of-70). The Jackrabbits shot 13% for the second quarter and 59% for the other three periods combined.
Oral Roberts' Gentry Balwin and Anna Trusty scored 14 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the Eagles.
SDSU is now 13-4 overall and 3-0 in Summit League action. ORU is 9-8 overall and 2-2 in league play.
NOTES
- SDSU's 19 3-pointers is the eighth time an NCAA team has hit at least 19 treys in a single game this season.
- Brooklyn Meyer's 19 points moved her into ninth place on SDSU's career scoring chart. She has 1,684 points in her career and passed Jennifer Johnson (1,678 points, 1981-85) for ninth place.
- South Dakota State scored 32 points in the first quarter and 33 points in the third quarter. Those are the two highest-scoring single quarters of the year for SDSU.
- SDSU leads the all-time series 35-6 over ORU.
- SDSU has won 66 straight regular season Summit League games, which is the longest active conference win streak in the nation and is tied for the fifth longest all time.
