SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The South Dakota State women's golf team was picked to finish sixth in the Summit League preseason poll released Thursday by the conference office. SDSU's
McKenzie Mages was named a player to watch.Â
The Denver Pioneers, who have represented the league at the NCAA Tournament 11 times since joining in 2013-14, received all seven first-place votes available to them and topped the poll with 49 points. In 2025, the Pioneers recorded an 859 (-14) team score to win the championship by 19 strokes over runner-up South Dakota State.Â
Mages, a senior, was a Summit League Second Team selection a season ago. She finished 19th at last season's Summit League Championship. Mages posted three top-10 finishes during the fall slate, including a first-place showing at the Fall Jackrabbits Invitational.Â
The 2026 Summit League Women's Golf Championship will be played at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz., for the second consecutive season from April 26-28.
