WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – South Dakota State senior
McKenzie Mages is tied in ninth place after the opening two rounds of the Boilermaker Spring Classic, which was played Sunday at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
Mages marked a +3 two-round tally. She is in a four-way tie for ninth and seven shots off the top of the leaderboard.
Riko Danjo and
Molly O'Hara are both +9 overall and tied for 37th place. O'Hara posted an eagle on the 18th hole of round one.
Hannah Boraas and
Reese Jansa tallied matching +12 two-round scorecards and are tied in 55th. Jansa tabbed an eagle on hole 14 of round two.
Samantha Stites and
Hannah Pettitt are competing individually this weekend. Stites is in 91st place (+23), followed by Pettitt in 93rd (+26).
The Jackrabbits are in eighth place at +30. Purdue is leading the field shooting 6-over through 36 holes.
NOTES
- O'Hara and Jansa are two of eight players with an eagle on Sunday.
- SDSU is tied for first on par-3 holes, averaging 3.17 shots.
- Mages tallied 27 pars through 36 holes, tied for first among all participating players.
UP NEXT
The final round of the Boilermaker Spring Classic will be played Monday. The Jacks will tee off beginning at 8:00 a.m.
