South Dakota State heads to Mesa, Arizona for the Summit League Championships Sunday through Tuesday. Competitors will play three rounds over three days at Longbow Golf Club, the tournament host for the second straight season.Â

COURSE INFORMATION
Longbow Golf Club first opened in 1997 and the complete redesign was unveiled in the fall of 2003. The redesign included a striking new clubhouse, expanded acreage and totally revamped practice facility, Longbow Golf Club, more than ever is a "must-play."
The redesign improves upon perfection by lengthening the total yardage to 7,050 from the back tees and expanding the fairways to be enjoyable by players of all skill levels. The distinctive new Arizona contemporary clubhouse is a one-of-a-kind structure that offers a spacious outdoor event patio with fans, heaters, misters, outdoor kitchen and bar, enormous patio fireplace, cozy restaurant, and well-appointed golf shop.

OF NOTE…
- McKenzie Mages wrapped up the regular season with the top scoring average in the Summit League - 73.5. She was named to the Summit League First Team Friday.Â
- Riko Danjo landed on the Summit League's Freshman Team with the top scoring average (76.1) among the conference's freshmen.Â
- SDSU is fourth in the Summit League for team scoring average heading into the championship, but less than 1.5 shots per round separates the top four teams.Â
- South Dakota State finished runner-up at the 2025 Summit League Championships - the team's best finish since 2021 and sixth runner-up finish in program history. McKenzie Mages, Reese Jansa and Molly O'Hara return from last season's Summit League runner-up squad to compete in the 2026 Championship.Â
LAST TIME OUT
SDSU is coming off an eighth place finish at the Boilermaker Spring Classic. The Jackrabbits posted a +51 overall team score, tied with fellow Summit League member Denver. Illinois finished 6-over to win the team title by three shots ahead of Purdue.
McKenzie Mages was SDSU's top finisher with a +9 final scorecard to finish in a tie for 21st place. She finished the tournament with 37 pars, tying for the fifth-most among all players.

CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES
- The 2026 Women's Golf Championship marks the second consecutive year at Longbow Golf Course, with this year's 54-hole event played on a par-71, 6,138-yard layout.
- Denver will aim for its seventh consecutive title and 11th in 13 years as a league member. The Pioneers claimed the 2025 championship with a 54-hole total of 859 (+7).
- Pacing the Pioneers at the 2025 Championship was Clara Gestsdottir who carded a final-round 67 (-4) to successfully defend her 2024 title, finishing at 209 (-4) over 54 holes.
- The Pioneers enter this year's championship with the third-best stroke average at 300.3 and have recorded two top-five team finishes this season.
- Oral Roberts returns 2025 First Team All-Summit and All-Tournament selection Avery Blake, who holds a 74.0 scoring average this season.
- Joining Blake as returning All-Tournament selections are NDSU's Madi Hicks, DU's Logan Hale and OMA's Katie Ruge, each of whom leads their team in scoring average this season.
- The Bison own two different first place finishers in Norah Roberts (75.52 stroke average) and Lily Vincelli (78.63 stroke average).
- With a field-best 73.5 scoring average, South Dakota State senior McKenzie Mages has tallied two wins, three top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes this season.
- At the forefront for the Mavericks, Ruge leads a team with a 302.4 scoring average and enters the season as the reigning Newcomer of the Year.
- St. Thomas compiled a 302.4 team stroke average this season, highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational.
- South Dakota matched the Tommies with a 302.4 scoring average this season. The Coyotes recorded two runner-up team finishes, while Ella Greenberg captured an individual title at the Ozarks National Invitational.
- North Dakota brings momentum into the championship after placing sixth in a 10-team field at the Stampede at the Creek.
