ORLANDO, Fla. ? The South Dakota State men's tennis team dropped a pair of 5-2 matches on Tuesday at the Orlando Classic in Orlando, Fla., falling to Bryant (R.I.) and Valparaiso (Ind.).
The two setbacks send the Jackrabbits to 4-6 in duals this season heading into Wednesday's match with La Salle (Pa.).
Cory Paluch picked-up his second and third singles wins in Orlando, with a 6-4, 7-5 win in first flight singles against Bryant and a 6-1, 6-3 win in second flight singles against Valpo. Paluch also teamed-up with Michael Engdahl to win the first flight doubles match against the Valpo.
The Jacks got their second point in the Bryant match thanks to a pair of doubles wins. Evan Sims and Justin Pyle won their second flight doubles match 8-5, while Alex Lauseng and Wade Kippley won their third flight doubles match 8-3.
Along with Paluch's win against Valparaiso, Pyle won his fourth flight singles match 6-2, 6-2 for the Jacks second point.
