COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A three matches in three days trip to Colorado started off on the wrong foot for the South Dakota State men's tennis team as they lost 7-0 to Air Force on Thursday.
SDSU (8-10) lost a pair of three set matches in singles play as #3 Carl Lundberg won the first set 6-3 before giving up the final two by scores of 6-0, 6-4.
At #5 singles, sophomore James Thorp also won the first set, defeating Steven Young 6-1. Young came back to win set two 6-4, before closing out the Australian native 7-6 in the third and deciding set.
SDSU is back on the court Friday at Northern Colorado followed by a match against Metro State on Saturday.
