SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The South Dakota State men's golf team beat the Cal Poly "B" Team 4-1 Friday at the Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Match Play Challenge to finish in seventh place in the two-day event.
Hudson Carpenter topped Booker Senatore 1-up. David Smith defeated Matt Yount 4&3, and Nolan Meyer beat Alex Romo 4&3. Johhny Castles defeated Greg Fehrman 4&3, while Dillon Schultz topped Derrick Strain 4&2.
Seattle University topped Fresno State, 3-2, to win the Match Play Challenge.
The Jackrabbit men play next at the Beu/Mussatto Invitational hosted by Western Illinois on April 2.
