 BROOKINGS, S.D.—Riding a two-game winning streak, the South Dakota State women's basketball team welcomes the third-ranked team in the country, Notre Dame, to the friendly confines of Frost Arena Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip.
- The Jackrabbits, 2-0, beat Arkansas, 76-69, Wednesday to extend their home winning streak to 12 games. Summit League Player of the Year candidate Macy Miller led three players in double digits in scoring with a game- and career-high 31 points. She also added four rebounds, three assists and a steal.
- Notre Dame also opened the season 2-0, defeating Bucknell, 85-54, and Toledo, 74-39, at home.
- SDSU trails in the all-time series, 1-0. The Jackrabbits lost the first meeting, 94-51, in Indiana, Jan. 2, 2014.
Noteworthy
- The Jackrabbits are protecting a 12-game home winning streak, 21st-longest in the NCAA. The last time the Jacks lost in Frost Arena was Dec. 10, 2014, to Green Bay, 77-75.
- The last time SDSU opened the season 3-0 was 2008-09 when it won at Missouri and defeated Wisconsin, Utah and Oregon in Frost Arena. The Jacks finished the season 32-3.Â
