After winning its first true road game of the season at Iowa last weekend, the South Dakota State women's basketball team travels to Norman, Okla., to take on the No. 13/12 Sooners Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Jackrabbits and OU are both undefeated at 4-0 and 3-0, respectively.
SDSU knocked off the Big Ten's Iowa, 66-64, Nov. 20 on junior Macy Miller's buzz-beating jumper. The point guard recorded her third collegiate double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead three Jacks in double figures in scoring.
Oklahoma had a come-from-behind 68-61 win at BYU Nov. 19. Redshirt senior Peyton Little led the Sooners with 16 points.
Wednesday's game is a rematch of the 2010 NCAA first- round game between SDSU and OU in Norman. The Sooners won 68-57 on March 21, 2010.
The Jackrabbits are 13-7 against teams from Oklahoma and 6-6 vs. Big 12 Conference teams.

Noteworthy

South Dakota State is 11-13 in away nonleague games in the last five years.
State's 4-0 start is the best since 2008-09. The last time it opened the season with five-or-more wins was 2003-04 when it won its first seven games. The Jacks have started the season with four-or-more wins in 22 seasons, including their first in 1966-67.
The Jackrabbits' four-game win streak ranks fourth nationally behind UConn (78), Louisville (5) and UL Lafayette (5).
SDSU picked up 10 votes in the Associated Press poll Monday, ranking the Jacks the 32nd best team in the country and 35 votes in the USA Today Sports Coaches poll Tuesday, positioning the Jacks as the 28th best team.
South Dakota State was ranked first in Graham Hayes' espnW preseason mid-major poll Nov. 3.

Poll Positions

South Dakota State received 12 votes in the Associated Press poll Monday and 35 votes in the USA Today Sports Coaches poll Tuesday.
The Jackrabbits received 5 votes in the AP preseason poll and 28 in the preseason Coaches poll.
The last time the Jacks were ranked in either preseason poll was Nov. 9, 2009.
The Jackrabbits' votes are the first since the Jackrabbits received votes in the Jan. 11, 2016, AP poll and April 6, 2016, Coaches polls.
The highest SDSU has ever been ranked is 16th in the AP poll March 9, 2009, and 14th in the Coaches poll March 2, 2009.

Jackrabbits in Mid-Major Poll

South Dakota State is ranked first in the CollegeInsider Mid-Major poll this week after earning the top spot in the preseason poll.
With its 26 first-place votes in the preseason poll, SDSU is the first team in The Summit League history to earn a top national preseason ranking.
SDSU has been ranked in the Mid-Major Top 25 Poll 83 of the last 84 weeks.
The Jackrabbits were ranked first in the final 2015-16 poll, their highest-ever ranking.

A Quick Glance at South Dakota State

Seventeenth-year head coach Aaron Johnston's probable starters for the second consecutive year are:

            - Macy Miller, point guard
            - Madison Guebert, guard
            - Kerri Young, guard
            - Ellie Thompson, forward
            - Clarissa Ober, forward

The starting lineup is 4-0 this season and 31-7 overall.
Miller is SDSU's leading scorer and ranks fourth in The Summit League, averaging 17.0 points per game.
Thompson (12.5), Young (11.5), Guebert (10.5) and Ober (10.3) are the other Jacks averaging double digits in scoring.
SDSU averages 73.8 points per game, and three different Jackrabbits have led the team in scoring in the first four games.
State has held its four opponents to less than 65 points.
There have been at least three Jackrabbits scoring in double digits in each of the first four games this season.
On the boards, Ober grabs a team-leading 7.5 caroms an outing and SDSU is outrebounding opponents by 3.3.
The Jackrabbits' top 3-point threat is Guebert, who is sinking 2.7 treys per game and shooting 42.3 percent.
Young is the Jacks' top playmaker, dishing 3.5 assists per game.
Three Jackrabbits are dishing two-or-more assists a game and the team has a plus-2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio.
The Jackrabbits are shooting 46.3 percent from the field, 33.7 percent from 3-point range and 68.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Oklahoma

Under 21st-year head coach Sheri Coale, No. 13/12 sports a three-game winning streak after defeating BYU Nov. 19, 68-61.
The Sooners return four starters from the 2015-16 season when it finished 22-11, 11-7 in the Big 12 Conference and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Vionise Pierre-Louis leads OU in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double with 13.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-3 center has sunk 73.7 percent (14-19) of her field goals.
Senior guards Peyton Little and Gioya Carter average 12.3 and 10.3 points per game, respectively.
The Sooners are scoring at a 72.0-point clip and has a 16.3-plus scoring margin.
On the boards, Oklahoma is outrebounding opponents by 8.0 caroms a game.
Junior guard Gabbi Ortiz is dishing 4.0 assists per game each.
The Sooners are shooting 39.5 percent from the field, 23.5 percent from 3-point range and 75.8 percent from the foul line.

The Oklahoma Series

SDSU and Oklahoma meet for the second time Wednesday.
The Sooners lead the all-time series, 1-0. The Jackrabbits lost 68-57 to OU in the first round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament in Norman, Okla.
The Jackrabbits are 40-30 vs. teams from Oklahoma and 6-6 against squads from the Big 12 Conference.
