BROOKINGS, S.D.—It may be snowing and blowing outside, but the South Dakota State women's tennis team is back in action this weekend in the Pacific Northwest. The Jackrabbits play at Portland State Friday at 11 a.m., at Southern Utah Saturday at noon and at Seattle Sunday at 3 p.m.
"This weekend is going to be a great test for our team. We have a tough travel schedule followed by three matches in three days," sixth-year head coach Michael Engdahl said. "It is going to be a great opportunity to see the fight and resilience we have on the tennis court. All three matches are going to push us to our limits and we can't wait for the first challenge Friday morning."
The Jackrabbits have been idle since defeating Nebraska-Kearney, 5-2, Jan. 23. In two matches this spring, senior Iasmin Rosa stands at 1-1 at No. 1 singles while seniors Ffion Davies (0-1, 1-0) and Florencia Magni (1-0, 0-1) have split matches at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.
