BROOKINGS, S.D.—After winning its semifinal game Monday, the South Dakota State women's basketball team takes on top-seeded and in-state rival South Dakota Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the finals of The Summit League Championship at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls.
• The Jackrabbits have won six Summit League championships in the last seven years, and are 20-1 overall in the tournament
• The championship game will air on The Jackrabbit Sports Network with Scotty Kwas and Brad Peterson calling the action. It will also air on ESPNU and WatchESPN.
• Four Jackrabbits scored in double digits in their 76-60 win over No. 6 Omaha Monday. Summit League Freshman of the Year Madison Guebert scored 18 points, including six 3-pointers on seven attempts. First team all-league pick Macy Miller and league Defensive Player of the Year Clarissa Ober each tallied 17 points, while all-league honoree Kerri Young added 11 points.
• SDSU meets South Dakota for the fourth time in The Summit League Championship and has a 2-1 record. It also leads the all-time series, 53-26. In the regular-season games this year, the Jackrabbits lost 63-58 in Frost Arena Jan. 17, and 80-75 in Vermilion Feb. 20.
• SDSU, which ranks 21st in 3-pointers made, 22nd in 3-pointers per game and 40th in scoring margin in the NCAA statistics, sank 11 treys in both tournament games and has eight games with 10-or-more 3-pointers.
• Clarissa Ober broke the SDSU tournament record for field goals percentage, shooting 87.5 percent from the field vs. Omaha. Guebert's six 3-pointers vs. the Mavericks ties her with Kristin Rotert for most treys in a tournament game. The rookie also set the record for highest 3-point percentage, sinking 85.7 percent (6-7) of her shots.
• In two tournament games, four of SDSU's starters are averaging double figues in scoring led by Miller's 18.5 scoring average. The Jackrabbits have outscored their opponents 50-17 in the first quarter.Â
