Morgan Brower captured runner up status in Red Doubles at the inaugural Huskie Invite hosted by Northern Illinois at the West Tennis Courts this weekend.Â

The duo went 4-2 overall after defeating NIU, 6-0, UW-Milwaukee, 6-1, Lewis University, 6-4 and teammates Emilly Van Dijk and Maria Velazco, 6-3. Their two losses came in rounds five and six.

Rosa posted a 3-1 mark in Red Singles en route to sixth place after losing, 2-6, 2-6 to NIU. The Brazil native defeated Lewis, NIU and UWM. Newcomer Molly Crum placed eighth after defeating NIU, 6-4, 1-6, 6-0 and eventually playing for seventh place against UWM but falling, 3-6, 2-6.

Freshman Laura Romero captured a 2-2 record to place fourth in Black Singles after dropping Lewis, 6-0, 6-0 and UWM, 6-4, 6-4.
