INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—A final 10-0 run by IUPUI gave the Jaguars a 64-59 win over the South Dakota State women's basketball team Saturday afternoon in a Summit League game in The Jungle.
The Jackrabbits dropped to 19-6 overall and 10-3 in the league while IUPUI improved to 19-7 and 9-4.
Senior guard
Kerri Young led all scorers with 21 points. Sophomore
Madison Guebert added 13 points. Junior
Alexis Alexander had nine points and career-high tying eight rebounds while classmate
Ellie Thompson added seven points and nine rebounds.
Danielle Lawrence led the Jaguars with 20 points. Jenna Gunn and Mikale Rogers added 15 and 11 points, respectively.
SDSU had a seven-point lead at the end of the third quarter, 52-45. IUPUI opened the fourth quarter with a 5-0 run all from the free-throw line, to pull within two, 52-50.
The Jackrabbits responded with a 5-2 run and had a five-point lead, 57-52, on a Young 3-pointer. After a layup from Alexander at 6:21, IUPUI held State scoreless for the remainder of the game and scored 10-straight points for the win.

- Kerri Young has now scored 20-or-more points in four games this season and 10 times in her career.
- With two 3-pointers today, Madison Guebert moved into a tie for eighth in 3-pointers in a single season with 72.
- South Dakota State lost its fifth consecutive game at IUPUI.
- The Jackrabbits have clinched a bid to The Summit League Championship March 4-7 in Sioux Falls at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
