GRAND FORKS, North Dakota – The South Dakota State men's tennis team defeated Montana State, 4-3 Saturday afternoon at Choice Health & Fitness in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Lucas Pereira and Elliot Ward won their match at No. 3 doubles, but it wasn't enough as the Bobcats claimed the doubles point.

Emerson Styles improved to 9-9 in dual matches with a 7-6 (9-7), 6-1 decision over Kellen Bates at No. 1 singles.

Marco Paulo Castro defeated Rok Sitar 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2.

Sophomore Chuck Tang topped Dylan Harvala 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.

At No. 6, senior Pereira beat Grant Wood, 6-3, 6-0 to capture the final point for the Jacks.
