Chuck Tang advance to the championship of Flight B doubles on the first day of the Bluejay Invitational Friday afternoon.

The team defeated McCartney and Lawson of Doane 6-3 then topped King and Wade of Northern Colorado, 6-2 to make it into the championship round.

Alexander Reinke and
Marco Paulo Castro dropped a 6-1 decision to Gandini and Huff of Creighton. The team fell to Harden and Kritzinger of Northern Colorado, 6-2.

Henrique Stemmer and
Aidan DeBoer lost their first match to Buth and Martinez of North Dakota, 6-1 before falling to Dunn and Moorhead of Omaha, 6-2 in Flight A doubles. The duo will play for seventh place tomorrow.

Alberto Gonzalez Raton and
Carlos Martinez were upended by Mrozek and LaPoint of UND, 6-3, before defeating Exsted and Smalley of Northern Colorado, 6-3 in Flight C doubles.

On the singles side, Styles fell to Brooks Kendall of Creighton, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in Flight A singles.

In Flight B, Stemmer dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision to Michael Kritzinger of Northern Colorado.

Castro defeated Alejandro Benitez of Doane, 6-2, 6-0 in Flight C. Reinke was upended by Nick Wade, 6-4, 6-2.

In Flight D, Martinez topped Ben Yeacker, 6-1, 6-2, while Tang fell in a tough match to Mac Mease of Creighton, 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-4.

Freshman DeBoer moved onto the next round after a 6-1, 6-2 win over Luke Moorhead of Omaha.
