YANKTON, S.D. - The South Dakota State track and field hoisted nine individual event champions with 18 personal-best marks on Wednesday at the Mount Marty Twilight.

Overall, there were 25Â individual Jackrabbits who finished in the top-three in at least one event, and 18 of them finishing with at least one personal-best mark.

Senior
Mason Leiseth had two three finishes for winning the shot put and finishing third in the discus while freshman
Chloe Bermel recorded two personal-best marks in the 200m and 400m.

Leiseth reset his PR in the shot put for the third time in less than a week. He started the season ranked 10th on the school's all-time list before falling out of it briefly. Last Thursday, he rejoined the top 10 at fourth, and then moved up to second on Friday - increasing the PR by 1-02.25 feet.

Today, he added another 1-01.50 feet to tie for the school record with John Delay's 1997 throw. That is totaling 2-03.75 feet in six days.

As of tonight, the mark ranks 44th in the NCAA West Region and 79th nationally.

Then the Hayti, S.D. native, notched his second-career top-three finish in the discus.

Bermel recorded an overall PR in the 200m and the 400m, beating her previous-best in the 200m by 0.08 seconds and her 400m mark by 0.10 seconds.

She also posted her best place finishes in both events.

Junior
Kasie Vollmer grabbed another victory in the throwing events, along with sophomore
Dakota Leonhard in the javelin. It is Vollmer's second win of the season and Leonhard's first.

The men's triple jump crew went 1-2-3 in Yankton, S.D., just the second time in their career they've finished 1-2-3 (2017 USD/SDSU Dual). Sophomore
Bryant Courter grabbed his sixth career win - going undefeated in the indoor season.

Anthony Andera was another Jackrabbit carrying his winning streak to another meet. He won the pole vault competition at the NSU Twilight and then tied his outdoor season-best with a win tonight.

Anna Fasen beat her previous-best by 1.45 seconds, junior
Shelby Bickett by 3.49 seconds, and freshman
Mary Krause by 4.33 seconds.
Redshirt freshman
Caleb Bray recorded his first outdoor mark in the 200m, finishing second in the race, then went on to run a PR in the 400m by 0.52 seconds.

Up Next
The Jackrabbits will carry the competition to Iowa as they compete from Thursday to Saturday in the Drake Relays. Some of the Jackrabbits will also compete in Indianola, Iowa, at the Kip Janvrin Open, hosted by Simpson College on Friday.
