The South Dakota State men's golf team returns to action after a month off from competition when it plays in the Tiger Intercollegiate hosted by Missouri Monday and Tuesday in Columbia, Mo.
The 54-hole event takes place at the Club at Old Hawthorne, a par-72, 7,221-yard layout, with 36 holes starting Monday and 18 holes Tuesday and an 8 a.m. shotgun starts both days.
Competing alongside the Jackrabbits in the tournament are three Summit League members—Oral Roberts, North Dakota State and South Dakota.
Last year at the Tiger Invitational, South Dakota State finished 14
th. Junior
Alejandro Perazzo finished with a three-round 227 (81-70-76) to tie for 31
st.
SDSU was last on the course in early March at the ninth-annual Jackrabbit Invitational. State finished sixth, shooting an 887 (291-297-299) at the par-72, 7,402-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club. Perazzo (74-72-71) and junior
Jared Nicolls (69-72-76) led the Jackrabbits, tying for 17th with one-over par 217s.
Perazzo leads the team and is 13th in The Summit League with a 74.78 stroke average. He leads the Jackrabbits with nine rounds at or below par. Nicolls has a 75.57stroke average and a pair of top-10 finishes.
