The return to a 16-game schedule highlights the South Dakota State women's basketball 2018-19 Summit League schedule released Thursday.
With the addition of North Dakota to the league, SDSU's league schedule returns to eight home-and-away contests. Five of the eight home Summit League contests fall on a Saturday or Sunday at Frost Arena.

The Jackrabbits open The Summit League schedule with three road games. They are at Western Illinois Dec. 28, at Purdue Fort Wayne Jan. 2 and at South Dakota Jan. 6.
The league home opener is Jan. 9 against Denver. State has won eight consecutive league home openers, dating to a win over former Summit League member Oakland Dec. 29, 2011. It also sports an 83-8 record in home league games in Division I.
South Dakota State, which averaged over 2,000 fans per game last season in the friendly confines of Frost Arena, hosts Oral Roberts Jan. 12. It is on the road at North Dakota Jan. 18 before returning to Frost Arena to face North Dakota State Jan. 23 and Omaha Jan. 26. The Jacks are at Denver to close the month, Jan. 31.
State's is at Oral Roberts Feb. 2, hosts North Dakota Feb. 9 and then is on the road for a pair at Omaha (Feb. 13) and at North Dakota State (Feb. 16).
For the first time since 2014-15 and for the just the third time since joining the league, the final three regular-season games are in Frost Arena—Purdue Fort Wayne Feb. 20, in-state rival South Dakota Feb. 24 and Western Illinois March 2.
The 2019 Summit League Championship will be held March 9-12, at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls.
