           The South Dakota State volleyball team returns to the friendly confines of Frost Arena this week when it hosts the Comfort Suites University Jackrabbits Invitational Thursday through Saturday.
           The Jackrabbits open the invitational Thursday at 7 p.m., against Seattle University. Friday, Green Bay and Weber State play at noon, followed by Seattle University and the Phoenix at 4:30 p.m. The Jacks meet Weber State at 7 p.m. Saturday has Weber State and Seattle University playing at 10 a.m. and SDSU and Green Bay at 2 p.m.        Â
           South Dakota State opened its season at the UMKC Invitational this past weekend. It finished 0-3 with losses to UMKC (3-0), Austin Peay (3-1) and Western Michigan (3-1).

Setting the Scene
- For the second consecutive season SDSU is hosting the Jackrabbits Invitational. The Jacks are 5-9 in Jackrabbits Invitational matches.
- Thursday is State's home opener and it is 36-16 (.692) overall in those games. The last home-opening win was Sept. 4, 2012, when the Jackrabbits defeated North Dakota, 3-0.
- South Dakota State is in its 53rd season overall and 14th in the Division I era. The Jackrabbits sport an 896-711-8 (.557) all-time record and 176-262 (.401) mark in Division I play. State is 377-195-1 (.659) all-time in Frost Arena.
- The Jackrabbits meet Seattle University for the first time while the Wildcats' and Phoenix series are tied 2-2.
