South Dakota State Director of Golf
Casey VanDamme announced Tuesday that Jack Tanner has signed a National Letter of Intent and will attend SDSU and play for the men's golf team next season.
"Jack is a very good player with an extremely high ceiling," VanDamme said. "Golf Australia recommended him very highly and we are very excited that he is a Jackrabbit."
Tanner, from Glenelg, South Australia, was named the 2018 Golf South Australia Junior Pennant Player of the Year and was a member of the Men's Pennant Team of the Year.
Tanner was a 2018 Junior State Member of the South Australian Team and finished 16
th in the Japan Interregional Team Championships. He also played in the Australian Boys Interstate Series. In 2017, he helped the South Australian Team win a gold medal in the Pacific School Games.
Tanner won the 2018 Glenelg Junior Club Championship. At 14 years old, he was also the club's youngest player in its 88-year history to win the Glenelg Men's Club Championship in 2015.
