Toscano named Golfer of the Month

SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State's Teresa Toscano has been named Summit League Female Golfer of the Month, announced Thursday by the league office.

In the month of October, Toscano picked up two top-five finishes as she tied for third at both the NM State Aggie Invitational (Oct. 7-9) and Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown (Oct. 27-29). She recorded a Summit League-best 72.3 stroke average throughout the month.

The senior helped the women's team to a strong fourth place finish in an elite 18-team field at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. She holds a 73.91 stroke average at the conclusion of the fall season.

This is Toscano's third time receiving Summit League Golfer of the Month honors.

The Jackrabbits return to action in February for their spring season.
