Rod DeHaven has been named the 2019 Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year, while sophomore
Joseph Minor-Williams has been named Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year by the Summit League.

DeHaven's award comes as his eighth on the men's side, ninth overall (named Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2008), and fourth consecutive.

DeHaven has won the men's honor eight out of the 13 years the Jackrabbits have been in the league, which is the most of any coach in that span. No other active league coach has won the honor on the men's side.

In his 16
th season at the helm of the Jackrabbits program, DeHaven lead his team to their fourth consecutive Summit League championship victory—this time going first through sixth with a perfect score of 15.
DeHaven saw a Jackrabbit be named male athlete of the week three times (
Joseph Minor-Williams twice,
Micah Mather once), ended the season with the Jacks' best finish to-date at NCAA Midwest Regionals (4
th in the region), saw
Micah Mather earn All-Region honors for his 23
rd place finish there and had
Joseph Minor-Williams named the 2019 Summit League Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year.

Joseph Minor-Williams came in first place at the Summit League cross country championships on Nov. 2 in Fargo, N.D. with a time of 24:43.6. The Jacks would go on to finish first through sixth on their way to a perfect-score victory with 15 points. Minor-Williams would be named First Team All-Summit League and pick up championship MVP honors while the Jacks became the only current Summit League team to ever score a perfect 15 at the conference meet.

The Minneapolis, Minn. native held the league's top two 8K marks of the season with his 24:32.8 time from Under Armour Pre-Nationals on Oct. 19, and his 24:43.6 mark from the Summit League championships on Nov. 2.

Minor-Williams picked up two Athlete of the Week honors this season, one after his 17
th place finish with a time of 25:11.7 at the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 28, where the he lead the Jacks to a third place finish, knocking off four then-regionally ranked squads, and one after his 63
rd place finish where he led the Jacks at the Under Armour Pre-Nationals with a time of 24:32.8 on Oct. 19.

This is his first Summit League Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year award.
