Editor's note: The South Dakota State women's basketball seniors are sharing on GoJacks.com "Letter to Jackrabbit Nation."Â First up is senior Madison Guebert.
Jackrabbit Nation,
I will forever be thankful for everything you have done for me the past four years. The minute I stepped on campus my freshman year, you made me feel at home and greeted me with a warm welcome. From that moment on I knew that I was going to have an unbelievable experience here.Â
Â
As four years is quickly coming to an end and I start to reflect on my time here at SDSU, it's been you Jackrabbit Nation who has made my experience unforgettable. You fill up Frost Arena at every home game, and the feeling of running out to thousands of you cheering on your Jacks is a feeling unlike any other. You fill up the Denny for the conference tournament and travel everywhere in between, no matter how far. But it's also the small moments like walking into Hy-Vee or Walmart and having many people wish me luck or tell me to keep my head up and that they believe in the team. These interactions touched my heart just as much as your support during games.Â
Â
My life has been forever changed by a community that welcomed me with open arms into this big Jackrabbit family. So, to every one of Jackrabbit Nation, I will always be grateful for the opportunities you gave me, your endless love and support to pick me up when I was down, and for giving me a home away from home. Thank you for being a part of the best four years. I couldn't ask for a better ending to the chapter that gave me everything I had dreamed of since I was a little girl.Â
Â
Thank you, Jackrabbit Nation. You will forever hold a special place in my heart. As always, ears up, GBGBGJ!Â
