Nicolls Named All-Summit League First Team

NEWTON, Kan. – Jared Nicolls of the South Dakota State men's golf team was named All-Summit League First Team at the conference banquet Saturday night.
The senior leads the Jackrabbits with a 73.39 stroke average, which ranks eighth in the Summit League.
His best performance on the season was a two-under-par showing at the Husker Invite in which he tied for first.
Nicolls finished in a tie for fifth at the Jackrabbit Invitational (+3) in March and shot a one-over at the Thunderbird Invitational in February, finishing in a tie for 15th.
The Ponoka, Alberta native's career stroke average of 74.83 leads the team, and also ranks fourth on SDSU's all-time list. Nicolls will try to lower that average as the team opens conference championship play Sunday beginning at 8:50 a.m.
