The South Dakota State women's golf team attempts to win its second title of the season when the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic opens Monday in Maricopa, Arizona. The Jackrabbits enter the two-day competition with three-straight top-five finishes.

The 54-hole event is at the Ak chin Southern Dunes Golf Course, a par 72, 6,131-yard layout, has 9:30 a.m. Central time shotgun starts.

Competing alongside the Jackrabbits are Boise State, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, Montana, Montana State, New Mexico State, North Dakota State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Santa Clara, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, UT Arlington, UTEP and Wyoming.

Teresa Toscano leads the Jackrabbits and is second in The Summit League with a SDSU single-season record 73.1 stroke average. She has won two of the last three tournaments and has three wins overall this season. Additionally, Toscano has six top-10 finishes and 11 rounds at or below par.

Mia Seeman sports a 76.5 stroke average and has a pair of top-five finishes.

South Dakota State's 303.0 stroke average ranks third in The Summit League standings.
