Teresa Toscano helped her nation of Spain finish second in the 2019 European Ladies' Team Championship over the weekend.
20 participating teams played two rounds of stroke play over the first two days of the championship to determine bracket placement for match play. Toscano shot an even-par 144 (69-75) in the first two rounds to sit tied for 26th overall among the 120 individual golfers.
Following stroke play, the top eight teams played in Flight A, with the next eight playing in Flight B and the bottom four in Flight C.
In order of the placement round finish, flight A consisted of Italy, Sweden, Germany, Scotland, Spain, Denmark, England and Ireland.
Spain opened match play by knocking off Scotland 4-3 in the quarterfinal. Toscano won her foursomes match with a 5&4 victory and earned Spain another point with a two-up victory in singles.
In the semifinal match, Toscano won her foursomes match 3&2 to help Spain take down the top-seeded Italy 4-3 to reach the finals.
Spain finished second to Sweden, falling 5-2 in the finals.

Toscano will continue to represent Spain at the European Ladies' Amateur Championship in England, July 24-27.
