MONTGOMERY, Texas - Jackrabbit golf slipped three spots to seventh place Tuesday after the second round of the Bentwater Intercollegiate.
RESULTS
The Jackrabbits were 12-over Tuesday, seven shots worse than Monday's score. They are just one stroke behind sixth-place UTSA and 17 strokes off leader Sam Houston.
Jack Tanner continues to lead the SDSU squad. He combined his 2-over score from day one with day two's +1 and sits in a tie for sixth place with a 141 (-1) scorecard.
Liam Georgiadis had the best day for the Jackrabbits and jumped fifteen spots on the leaderboard with an even score. He was sitting +2 with three holes to play but eagled hole 16 to get to even par and held on for the remainder of the round.
Matthew Schaefer was steady in his second round, duplicating his first 18-hole score of 74 to total 148 (+4). He is tied for 33rd place.
Noah Boraas is tied for 47th and
Jonah Dohrer is in 57th place.
NOTES
- SDSU remains the best team on par-4 holes, averaging 4.11 strokes on those holes
- Georgiadis is one of 15 players to record an eagle in this tournament
