OMAHA, Neb. - South Dakota State volleyball's road pains continued Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Omaha at Baxter Arena. The Jacks are 0-7 on their opponents' home courts this season.

SDSU was held to a negative attack rate in the match and totaled just 19 kills, compared to 41 kills by the Mavericks.

The Jacks struggled to find a rhythm in the first set of the day. SDSU notched just four kills and committed seven attack errors in the game. Omaha led by just two at 9-7 but ended the set on a 16-1 run.

Set two was much more evenly matched. SDSU opened with a 3-1 lead before the Mavs tied it up at 4-4. The Jacks stayed within striking distance and trailed 15-16 until Omaha used a 9-3 scoring stretch to take set two.

The final set of the afternoon went back-and-forth with five early ties. The Jacks held an 8-7 advantage but allowed five unanswered points to trail 8-12. Three kills and a block by Elyse Winter helped the Jacks to a 5-1 run of their own and an 18-21 score. Omaha finished the match off with four straight points.

Winter, Crystal Burk and Chloe Stitt had five kills each for the Jackrabbits but Winter was the only of the three with a positive attack rate. Winter also tallied 10 digs, five assists and a service ace.

Tatum Pickar had 13 digs and Burk added seven. Faith Saewert managed five digs to go with 10 assists, a team high. SDSU did have a 6-4 advantage in service aces, getting two each from Saewert and Ella Thompson.

Omaha attacked at a .324 clip and was paced by Sadie Limback's 13 kills.
